Artist talks are part of Hillyer’s ongoing program offerings that occur on a monthly basis in conjunction with its featured solo artist exhibitions.

Artist Talk with Olivia Bruce

Olivia Bruce, a featured artist in the exhibition “Collecting Community,” will lead an artist talk about her work in the context of Millennium Arts Salon’s 25 year history. Olivia is known for her explorations of human form, movement, and vibrant color washes. She is currently represented by the Studio Gallery, a partner during “First Fridays” and “Third Thursdays” in Dupont Circle.

Artist Talk with Rashid Ali Muhammad

Saturday, November 30, 1 pm

Rashad Ali Muhammad, a featured artist in the exhibition “Collecting Community,” will lead an artist talk about his work in the context of Millennium Arts Salon’s 25 year history. Rashad is a multidisciplinary artist of the African diaspora based in Maryland and Virginia. His practice delves into the intersections of culture, ethnicity, spirituality, identity, and nature.
