Leslie Robinson uses drawing and video as forums to examine her multiple roles as academic, wife, mother, and artist. She uses these often-conflicting demands as fodder for commentary that may read as critical self-reflection and/or institution critique.- from Robinson’s artist statement. Come to Hillyer Art Space to see these mixed media drawings through October 31st.

Hillyer is funded in part by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, the Galena Yorktown Foundation, and the Jon and Mary Shirley Foundation.
The Artist Advisory Committee is a group of accomplished artists in the region who select new artists from our annual Call for Artists.
