Sketch Saturday

A new monthly series, Sketch Saturday provides an opportunity for visitors to sketch from installations and works of art created by our featured artists during the month. During the month of August, Hillyer will feature Democracy in the Crossfire curated by Tim Brown and Dr. Sarah Klein, Sapphic Gaze by Joan Cox, and New Growth by Andrea Sherrill Evans. Visitors are invited to draw independently in the galleries of their choice or receive feedback from Hillyer staff instructors. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sketchbooks and pencils. Supplies are free to members.
Guidelines for Participation:

- Sketchbooks cannot exceed 14 x 17 inches in height or width
- Hillyer will provide 8 x 10 sketchbooks for a donation of $10. Drawing pencils will be provided upon request.
- Easels are not allowed and will not be provided for this program.
- Charcoal and graphite pencils are allowed; pastel, watercolor, paint are not allowed.
- Folding stools will be provided upon request.
