Artist Talk with Sheila Crider

Featured artist Sheila Crider will talk about her exhibition, Way Finding, an installation of recent works that seek to expand the language of abstraction. Through contrasting painted materials, the exhibition serves as a reference to the unanticipated changes we experience in our daily lives.

In conjunction with her installation titled Thinggy of Their Town, Hyunsuk Erickson will give a performance inspired by “Thingumabobs,” standing forms she incorporates in her installation. The performance will be followed by an artist talk and Q and A from the audience.
Artist Talk with Benjamin Duke

On Saturday, the day after our “First Friday” opening reception, Benjamin Duke will host an artist talk about his exhibition, Chance Factor. In his exhibition, Duke juxtaposes the monumental with the mundane, exploring how history emerges in the ordinary moments of daily life.
