“I use graphics and content from the computer game Minecraft as source material. This work explores the many places where Minecraft exploration and real-life exploration, including parenting, overlap visually, emotionally, and structurally.”
In Conclusion
“The socially aware figures originate from the study of cadavers in biology labs, insects in university entomology museums, and local herd animals in paddock enclosures. Some issues explored are ideas of self-image, social indifference, and reactions to being watched.”

Man Bond
Ric Garcia, “Man Bond” is on view in our current exhibition, Perspective. “My work builds upon the legacy of pop art to present a narrative about blended cultures.” This graphic work questions advertising and its implied messages, referencing hero worship and Latino and gender cultures.
