Artist Talks are part of Hillyer’s ongoing program offerings that occur on a monthly basis in conjunction with its featured solo and group exhibitions.

Abol Bahadori in Conversation with Joshua Dunn

Featured solo artist Abol Bahadori will have a conversation with photographer Joshua Dunn to talk about his latest body of work that is featured in the exhibition Hybrid Baroque. They will discuss Abol’s inspirations, ranging from Western Baroque architecture and music to the rich traditions of Eastern miniatures, inviting audiences to step into his unique, abstracted worlds of color.

Film Screening: Through a Student Lens

Expelled from her home, this video documents an Iranian artist’s journey of resistance towards her home country’s totalitarian regime. A Q&A session will take placesession will take place following a conversation between the artist and the film’s directors.
This program is organized in conjunction with Esha Sadr’s exhibition “Absence of Us.”
