Dates and Hours of the Exhibition: May 7 through June 26, 2022, T-TH, FRI 12 to 6 p.m., SAT, SUN, 12 to 5 p.m.

Exhibition Summary:
Artists are invited to submit artwork in response to the war – the Russian invasion of Ukraine and its implications.
Works will be accepted during open hours between the months of May and June. The last day for submissions is Friday, June 17th. Artwork will continue to be collected and presented until we run out of space. This is an open and non-juried exhibition.
Submissions: Artists must fill out an online that provides basic information about you, the work submitted, and agree to the terms and conditions. Artists are limited to one submission. See “Return of Artwork” below regarding submissions received by mail or other delivery services. If we receive submissions that exceed the available gallery space, Hillyer will rotate works to accommodate more artists.
Requirements: Art must be two-dimensional (low relief up to three inches are acceptable) and should not exceed 16 inches in height or width (including frames). The name of the artist must be clearly indicated on the back of the artwork. Submissions should be ready for display (e.g. wires, hooks, mounting, etc.) to make hanging the art safe and easy.
During the Exhibition: The exhibition will include a comment board in the gallery, and a blog page to continue the dialogue online. Visitors will be encouraged to post on social media using the hashtag #IA&A4ukraine.
Return of Artwork: Artists can pick up their art during the week of June 27th. Works submitted by mail or other delivery services must include a pre-stamped return envelope or sufficient means to otherwise be returned or a release for IA&A to keep the work.
Special note about the exhibition: Unlike Hillyer’s others Calls for Artists, this call is designed to invite as many artists as possible. The exhibition is organized in the spirit of pop-up exhibitions, so that we, as members of the worldwide art community, can respond to this issue of such great importance.
