Individual Giving is an investment in Hillyer’s commitment to providing quality solo and group exhibitions, inclusive and diverse public programs, support for artists, exhibition spaces, and operational support. You can also become a member.

Advocates  ($250)  

Advocates make a personal investment to support Hillyer’s full schedule of public programs to engage diverse segments of the public. As one program participant remarked: “Hillyer is more exciting than it’s ever been. Keep up the good work.”

Patrons ($1,000)

Exhibitions are central to Hillyer’s success and reputation as the epicenter of contemporary art in Washington DC. Patrons provide an essential investment in supporting Hillyer’s monthly exhibitions for solo artists and curators, and exhibition partnerships.

Giving Circles ($5,000-$10,000)

Individuals who contribute to our Giving Circles make a personal investment to support Hillyer on three levels that are crucial to its success: Gold Circle, Silver Circle, and Bronze Circle.

Gold Circle ($10,000) Gold Circle contributors support Hillyer’s premiere gallery spaces, including upgrades to accommodate a diversity of exhibitions and installations.

Silver Circle ($7,000) Silver Circle contributors support technology upgrades and digital content creation across all aspects of Hillyer’s operations.

Bronze Circle ($5,000) Bronze Circle contributors support artists who live outside the immediate area with travel costs, overnight accommodations, shipment of artworks, and installation fabrications.

Founder’s Circle ($12,000-$15,000)

David Furchgott founded the Hillyer Art Space in 2006 as a DC based initiative to support aspiring contemporary artists. Since its inception, an advisory committee has served as mentors to support emerging artists in the region and throughout the world in their quest to become successful artists. Members of the Founder’s Circle make an annual personal investment to support Hillyer’s operations and to maintain its physical location in Washington DC, which is the infrastructure for all of Hillyer’s activities.

  • Permanent recognition in IA&A at Hillyer’s exhibition galleries.
  • Private invitation to exclusive Founder Circle events
  • Private tour of monthly exhibitions
  • Private meetings and receptions with the CEO and President of IA&A.
  • Two private venues in Hillyer’s exhibition spaces.
